The Enchanted Chocolate Land: A Magical Story with a Lesson on Moderation
Pari was a curious, playful child, always excited for a new adventure. During his summer break, he traveled to his grandmother’s village, where he loved playing street cricket under the warm sun with his friends. But one hot afternoon, after hours of fun, Pari came down with a fever.
The village doctor prescribed him medicine and advised him
to avoid junk food. That evening, his mother, Siri, gave him his medicine with
a gentle smile and reminded him, “No chocolates tonight, Pari.”
Pari’s heart sank. His bedtime chocolate was his favorite
treat! But his mother remained firm, saying, “No crying, or you won’t have any
chocolate for a week!” Pouting, Pari drifted off to sleep, dreaming of sweets.
In his dream, Pari found himself on a mysterious path
leading to a huge, red gate with a sign reading, “No admission for children
under 13.” Rules rarely stopped Pari! With a mischievous grin, he climbed over
the gate and entered a colorful, enchanted land.
Before him lay a wondrous world of sweets and chocolates!
Trees with bright, sugary leaves, rivers of flowing chocolate, jelly bushes,
and candy seats were everywhere. Pari’s eyes sparkled. “This is a dream come
true!” he exclaimed. “Mom won’t give me chocolate, but here, I can have it
all!”
As he reached for a candy apple, a deep voice rumbled from the trees, “Welcome, young one. You may eat all the treats you desire, but once you enter, you can never leave.”
Pari hesitated, feeling a bit nervous, but the sight of
gummy bears, chocolate fountains, and marshmallow clouds was too tempting.
Gleefully, he indulged in sweets, savoring every bite. With no one there to say
“enough,” he jumped from one candy patch to another, rolling in chocolate grass
and splashing in chocolate pools.
But soon, Pari began to feel uncomfortable—heavy and
thirsty. His mouth was sticky, and he wanted a sip of water. “Where’s the
water?” he called out.
The candy tree chuckled, “In this chocolate land, there is
only melted chocolate to drink.”
Pari’s face fell. He didn’t want more chocolate! Desperate
for water, he tried to leave, but the candy bushes wrapped him in sticky
licorice vines, holding him tight. “You wanted endless chocolate, didn’t you?”
they whispered, giggling mischievously.
Suddenly, he felt a gentle hand on his forehead. “Pari, wake
up!” his mother’s voice called softly.
Pari opened his eyes, gasping, “Mom! The chocolate land...
it was trapping me!”
Siri hugged him, chuckling softly. “Oh, Pari, it was just a
dream.”
Relieved, Pari looked around, making sure he was truly home. “Mom, I don’t want any chocolate,” he said, eyes wide with realization.
Siri smiled. “Really? No chocolate at all?”
“No! The candy world was too much. I understand now... too
much of anything isn’t good!”
Siri patted his head proudly. “Exactly, my dear. Balance is
the key to enjoying life’s treats.”
Pari smiled, feeling like he’d had the most magical
adventure—and learned a valuable lesson about moderation.
Moral: The story teaches children that moderation is key, and too much of even the things we love can lead to problems.
