Granny's wisdom

Vi & Team – Granny's Wise Words
In the bustling city of Karvir, four inseparable friends – Shi, Vi, Pari, and Hari – were more like family than just friends. Together, they shared everything from fun games and laughter to homework and indoor gardening. They lived in an apartment complex called Swana, where their friendship grew as strong as the plants they tended in their little indoor garden.

Every day, at exactly 5:00 PM, the friends would grab their cricket bats and head to the roadside for their daily match. The street was their playing field, and nothing could stop them – except Granny.

Granny, always sitting in her cozy chair by the window, loved watching her grandchildren and their friends. But every time they played in the street, Granny would kindly call out, “Be careful, children! The road is dangerous. You should play in the playground instead!”

Despite Granny’s warnings, the friends were too caught up in the excitement of the game. “Don’t worry, Granny, we’re careful!” they would shout, not fully understanding the danger.
One sunny afternoon, the friends decided to play earlier than usual. The excitement was at its peak when Vi hit an impressive six. Everyone cheered, but once again, Granny warned, “Please, children, play in the playground. It’s much safer!”

But this time, Vi insisted, “Just one more over!” She was ready to bowl, and the game was too thrilling to pause. In that very moment, a bike sped around the corner, and the rider didn’t see Vi. In the blink of an eye, there was a loud crash, and Vi was knocked off her feet, landing hard on the road and injuring her leg.

The world seemed to freeze. Granny rushed out in a panic, her heart pounding. She helped Vi to her feet, rushed her home, and tenderly cared for her injury. “I warned you, my dear,” Granny said softly as she bandaged Vi’s leg. “The road was never the right place to play. Always listen to those who care for you.”

With tears in her eyes, Vi looked at her friends and Granny. “I’m so sorry, Granny. You were right. We should have listened to you.”

Her friends nodded, realizing the importance of Granny's wise words. From that day on, the four friends always played in the safe playground, no longer ignoring Granny’s advice.

Moral of the Story: Elders' advice comes from experience and love. Always listen to them, as their wisdom can help protect you from harm. A valuable lesson about safety, respect, and understanding.
