The Wise

The Wise: A Story of Determination, Courage, and the Power of Education

In the bustling city of Shorinagari, a young man named Ram stood out for his bright mind, kind heart, and sense of duty toward others. Growing up with a skilled goldsmith father, Ram learned the importance of hard work, honesty, and helping the community. After completing his schooling in VenuPuri, Ram was ready to start a new job in the city.

However, before embarking on his new journey, Ram decided to visit his hometown to receive his parents' blessings. Upon arrival, he was met with devastating news—both of his parents had recently passed away. Heartbroken, Ram chose to stay in the village to complete their last rites and honor their memory.

A Village in Need: Ram’s Realization

As Ram spent time in his village, he noticed a troubling issue: the village children had to walk nearly six kilometers to reach school! The long, dusty roads were exhausting, and many children missed school due to this hardship. Seeing a young boy, the younger brother of a friend, fall sick and drop out of school moved Ram deeply. "Why should these children suffer to get an education?" he thought.

From that moment, Ram made a life-changing decision—he would build a school in his village, making education accessible for all.

Facing Obstacles: Komal, the Village Head

However, not everyone was thrilled about Ram’s plan. The village head, Komal, was a selfish man who enjoyed holding power. He felt threatened by Ram’s idea, fearing that educating the villagers might lead them to question his authority.

In an attempt to halt Ram’s efforts, Komal summoned him and presented forged documents, claiming Ram’s parents owed him a huge sum—12 lakh rupees. With a sly smile, Komal offered to “forgive the debt” if Ram abandoned his school plans and told villagers that education didn’t matter.

But Ram held firm. “Education is a right,” he replied. “These children deserve a chance to learn and build a better future.”

Determination Pays Off: Building the School

Unfazed by Komal’s threats, Ram began working on the school project. He met with local officials, secured necessary permissions, and even received support from the Education Minister. Within five months, the school construction was nearly complete.

Angry and desperate, Komal took drastic measures. He filed a false case against Ram, accusing him of fraud and forcing Ram’s close friend, Sham, to testify against him.

A Turn of Events: The Truth Revealed

At the court hearing, the judge advised Ram to admit guilt for a lighter sentence. With unwavering courage, Ram replied, “If I am guilty, let justice be served. But my one wish is that the children in my village have access to a school.”

Komal, unable to contain his frustration, began yelling, inadvertently revealing his lies. The courtroom fell silent, and the judge immediately understood the truth. Komal was sentenced to prison, and Ram was freed of all charges.

Shortly after, Ram’s school opened, and the village children’s laughter and joy filled its halls.

Moral of the Story

The wise stand firm in truth, no matter the obstacles. This story reminds us that determination, courage, and a sense of justice can overcome even the most daunting challenges. Ram’s dedication to building a school shows the true power of selflessness and community service.

True Friend: A Story About Friendship, Kindness, and Integrity for Kids

Introduction: In the peaceful village of Haridra, there lived a teacher named Mr. Keshav, who was very proud of his son, Ranna. As the school coordinator, Mr. Keshav had the power to choose teachers and assign classroom duties. However, there was one thing he loved more than his job—his only son, Ranna. Unfortunately, Mr. Keshav’s overprotectiveness made Ranna a little spoiled and rude, which caused him to have trouble making friends at school.

New Friend Jo: A Story of Kindness: One day, a new boy named Jo moved to Haridra and joined Ranna’s class. Jo was used to moving from place to place, and he quickly made friends with everyone. Unlike the other children, Jo didn’t mind Ranna’s attitude and became his best friend. Through Jo’s kindness, Ranna learned how to be friendlier, kinder, and more respectful towards others.

The Big Test: Integrity and Honesty: Soon, the big preliminary exams arrived. Ranna surprised everyone by scoring above 90%, which led some teachers to believe he might have cheated. Without giving him a chance to explain, they scolded Ranna in front of the entire class. Ranna felt deeply embarrassed, but Jo knew his friend was innocent. He decided to stand up for Ranna and help him clear his name.

Jo's Heroic Act: Standing Up for What’s Right
: During General Knowledge class, Jo came up with a brilliant idea to prove Ranna’s integrity. He suggested they play a game called "Answer to Win," where students would answer tough questions to earn prizes. When it was Ranna’s turn, he solved a difficult math problem, impressing everyone, including Mr. Krishna, their teacher. Jo’s belief in his friend helped him regain his confidence.

The Teachers' Apology: The Power of True Friendship: Later, Mr. Krishna, the Mathematics teacher, called all the teachers to the staff room and shared how Ranna had solved the challenging problems. He made it clear that Ranna hadn’t cheated and had worked hard for his marks. The teachers realized their mistake and apologized, acknowledging the importance of not judging too quickly.

Moral of the Story: Ranna learned a valuable lesson that day: A true friend is someone who stands by us when we’re in trouble, guides us to make better decisions, and helps us become kinder and more honest people. He promised himself to be the same kind of friend to others.
