Janaka lived in a village called shola and his wife by name Parvati, Son's name was Surya. Janaka a spendthrift and he frequently never thought of holding the things for him. This attitude observer by his neighbor's Lalu Raju, and he was so cunning and a miser.
One day an old sage came to Janaka house. By seeing his new guest he was so happy made him feel comfortable. Asked him does he need water to drink or shall arrange for dinner. The sage had experienced in astrology and could sense the future and past through this. Just to check the Janaka patience asked him if he had rice. He finishes dinner being aware that the Janaka family didn't have food. The sage completes his lunch without leaving a single piece of rice.he asked him if he could get some fruits for the evening, and blanket as it was too cold. Janak Without thinking anything gave blanket and fruit for sage. The sage was happily blessed the couple and kids, wealthiest people in the town.

Next hey didn't have any food to eat drinking water and sleeping. The next day a minister came to Janak's house to inform that he got a new job in the palace job. so He should shift to a new house as per the King's instruction. Janka was so happy to inform his neighbor that he got a job in King's palace so request Lalu Raju to give his use his for needy people if they request him for shelter. Lalu Raju was so surprised and checked how did he get this job. This Janaka explained to him the exact incident of last night. As he was a blessing by sage after that he got the job.
Lalu Raju was so selfish wished to the wealthier evening being Goldsmith. He asked servent to search the sage and request him to come to his house for lunch. The sage knew how would Lalu Raju treat but still to test him came home. Lalu Raju requests sage to the dining room and gave him the food which was spoil. He ate them with a smiling face and offered him fruits. Even the fruits were so much ripped wasn't in a condition to eat, he ate even this with a smiling face. Lalu Raju gave an old torn blanket and asked the sage to bless. The sage blessed let him get how he treats the guest saying so he moved. Lalu Raju was waiting to hear from the minister good news for a new job in King's palace. The next day, the minister came home to check lalu Raju.
Lalu Raju was so happy thinking that he will get a new job. But the minister asked him to officer to take all his goldsmith and valuable as he has cheated in ornaments, Thus all furniture and valuable took from his house. As he has taken a loan for one of the rich people in the house. Thus his house took as loan pledge. At present, he didn't have anything.
With great anger went in search of sage for a blessing. The sage was in meditate he opened his eyes saw him with a smile. Lalu Raju started to shout on sage why he has lost everything. Though he has treated him with food and basic requirement. Thus sage replied saying that Janak gave me food and basic requirements the same as you but food and things offered were usable conditions. Being greedy you offered spoiled food and trone blanket so you got the blessing of what you sow. As per the wish requested god to bless them the same offer.
Lalu Raju realizes his mistake for being miser always. He requests sage to give him perform the religious ceremony as he now fed up with worldly deeds.
